Counselor News

March 18, 2020

This week has been a week of "firsts" as we launched distance learning, as we distributed food to our students, and as we implemented the many changes necessary during this crisis. I would like to thank everyone for remaining calm in this world full of chaos.

As you know, our current situation is incredibly fluid we do not know what tomorrow will bring.  As we all struggle to process the magnitude of this health crisis and our responses to it, we want to take the steps that keep us safe and keep us positive. Be safe. Be cautious. Set a good example for your family. Medical experts tell us that you cannot go wrong with social distancing, which means avoiding contact with people outside of your household even if you are feeling well.

As your school counselor, I am here if you need me.  If you need help with things such as schoolwork, food, or just someone to talk to. I am here.  You can always reach me at

Just remember it is okay to feel worried.  Talk to someone you trust about how you feel.
